Please watch the video under Art Requirements or at this LINK for step by step instructional video.
DTF transfers gang sheets at a print size of 22.5 inches wide x 60 inches high, are the most affordable way to stock up on designs that can be heat applied to nearly any type of fabric when needed. This makes DTF transfers the best option for Print-On-Demand apparel and headwear needs. DTF transfers work well on double layer materials like shell jackets, reversible jerseys and on fabrics that typically cannot be screen printed or embroidered like FR coveralls, and PVC rain jackets. Heat apply DTF transfers to cotton, blends, polyester, nylon, rayon and even leather. They have great stretchability and are more durable than DTG printing.
Please ensure all designs are as close to 300 DPI as possible at the size you want to print and are on a transparent background before uploading. PNG,SVG,PDF and EPS files work best.
Please use our provided template to do your layouts. Some have had issues with upload of their pre-made gang sheet where their gang sheet imports in to the template at a smaller scale, requiring to expand sheet size and reducing DPI.
DTF Transfer Application Instrcutions -
- Pre-press the fabric area for transfer application for about 8 seconds at 300 degrees on light pressure. This will help remove any excess moisture and wrinkles out of the fabric.
- Place your DTF transfer on the location for application and heat press for 15 seconds at 300 degrees with medium pressure around 60% or 6 on a Hottronix Fusion press that has a rubber-topped bottom plate. If you do not have a soft bottom plate watch your pressure to make sure you are not leaving plate marks on the fabric
- For polyester and other materials that may have issues with dye migration test your fabrics at 275 degrees for 20 seconds. We suggest 275 degrees at 20 seconds but you can go lower to 250 degress for 30 seconds. Always test first to be safe.
- The transfers are cold peel so allow them to cool a full 1 minute after pulling them off the heat press. Cold peel transfers offer a better color gamut and color accuracy than hot peel due to having thicker layers on the film.
- We do offer hot peel upon request. Allow an extra day for production.
- Start peeling from an edge that has the heaviest print coverage and peel pulling the corner down and toward the side with the least amount of print coverage.
If you notice any part of the transfer is not adhering to the fabric, simply place the peeled portion back into the original location and press again for 20 seconds. Then peel as described.
- After peeling you will want to heat press the fabric 1-2 more times with lighter pressure and 30-40% or 3-4 on a Fusion heat press. This will allow more of the water vapor and glycol to escape making the prints last longer, and feel softer. Solid block prints can feel a little rubbery when you do not heat press more than once.
